Lockhart Steak: A Delectable Dining Experience in Lockhart, TX

Huge catfish fillets! My wife was hungry for fish and we ended up here after trying to go to another place in a different town but found it was closed. A Google search for Fish Restaurant brought this place up. It was a 16 minute drive but we decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. The catfish fillets here are the biggest I have ever had at any restaurant anywhere by a significant margin. They are huge. I did not know this and ordered the five piece dinner. I could barley finish three and had to take two home. They taste great too! Crispy with just enough spice, and thick and juicy as well. Five stars all the way. I had the mixed vegetables and Cajun rice as sides and they were great as well. My wife had the 1 Fish, 6 Shrimp, & 6 Crawfish dinner. She loved it, but like me, could not eat it all. All of this and the price is unbeatable. Other restaurants can't hold a candle to Lockhart Steak and Seafood, and once people find out, they are going to have to raise their standards a lot to keep up. If you are hungry for fish, look no further that Lockhart Steak and Seafood! You will not go away hungry, disappointed, or broke! Jungle Explorer Approved!

This was our second trip here and we were not disappointed! The service is great and the food is delicious! The boudin balls were awesome and the fried rice was very tasty. The coconut shrimp was a tad over-cooked but it was still very good.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! Service was very prompt with little to no wait time. Our waitress was the sweetest.

I was pleasantly surprised. The hamburger and fried shrimp were good. The fried okra was the best Ive ever had. The server was so friendly and attentive!

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I got a ribeye steak medium rare and shrimp. The shrimp were large and fresh and perfectly cooked. The steak was a little on the thin side, but very juicy, well seasoned and flavorful. Baked potato was good too. My wife got the coconut shrimp which she says was also quite good. I got a salad as well - it was fresh but a little bland, and the ranch dressing was fine but nothing special. Just one waitress, but it was fairly slow when we went. She was polite and helpful. The interior was nice, but not too fancy. I’ll definitely go again.

The ribeye was super juicy at medium rare. The fried platter with fish and shrimp was fresh and not rubbery. The rice was a little cold. I would try them again.

Services was horribly slow. After sitting down, it took at least 15 minutes before a waitress took our drink order and gave us a menu. Took a while to get our drinks. Took approximately 30 more minutes to get our food. Then when I got my food, I was disappointed in what I saw. The catfish fillet was actually half a fillet. The last time I was there it was an actual whole fillet. Disappointing experience all around.

Went in and was seated quickly. Waitress was quick with my drink and loaded fries which were really good. And then my catfish plate was bad@$$. 3 big ol pieces of catfish and double Cajun rice serving was way more than I expected for the price. I'm glad I stopped in today. I haven't eaten catfish in a while and this was a very great way to get back into it. Thank you for the great service and great food.
